Hey Everyone! I’ve got some exciting things to share, but for now I have a new YouTube video for a scrappy pincushion!! They turned out so cute!!
Coffee Cozy Tutorial
Hi Everyone! While we are having a low key weekend (hubby had knee surgery this week) here is my latest YouTube video – a fun coffee cozy tutorial featuring some hand embroidery.
I have got some fun projects in the works, so stay tuned! Also, I have got a creative collaboration going on with my Step Mom. We are working together to create some fun themed holiday gift boxes. She is a wonderful fine artist and is creating some fab prints for these boxes while I contribute some hand sewn items – should be super fun! More details soon! Have a great weekend!
Hooded Towel Tutorial

Hey Everyone! Over on my YouTube Channel, I just put up a fun tutorial for summer – a hooded towel! My kids love the ones I made for them! Here are some photos of the finished towel and the video tutorial.
All you need is a hand towel and bath towel… it takes 2 seams! That’s it, super easy! These would also make a great birthday present or baby shower gift.
Here is the video tutorial. Click this link if you can’t see the video.
Reversible Quilted Table Runner

A few weeks back I made a table runner for a baby shower that was at my house. I wanted one side to fit with the theme and the colors of the shower and the other side I wanted something that fit more my decor and color palette. It was a really fun and quick project, so I thought I’d share!
Here is side No.1, the one I made for the shower. The theme was English tea and white and aqua were the main colors.
Some close-ups so you can see the fabric. I honestly don’t remember what fabric this is! I just picked what matched from Hidden Yardage, my LQS
And now for the back side.
I’m obsessed with this fabric right now… Riley Blake ombre in aqua.
I love both sides, but I’m partial to this one ;). Oh and how did I not notice the crumbs in my photo?! Sheesh
Have a wonderful long holiday weekend!!
Full Moon Lagoon Baby Quilt

I had a baby shower at my house last weekend to celebrate my sweet friend and her baby girl. My friend and her husband are marine biologists and love the sea, so when I found out she was having a girl, I knew the exact fabric I wanted to use.
This fabric is from the collection Full Moon Lagoon. I used the panel in the center and used 3 types of fabric for outside borders to keep it simple. The colors in the collection are so nice.
The reference to coral, jellyfish and other marine life was perfect for her.
Have I said how much I loved the colors in this quilt??
Here is the back. I did organic, ocean-esque quilted lines and used some extra fabric for panels on the back.
So that’s it! The latest quilt finish! Have a wonderful Monday
Tula Pink Houndstooth Bed Quilt Complete!

Hey Everyone!
It’s done! It’s finally done! I am so thrilled to say that the bed quilt I have been working on for over a year is complete and we have been sleeping under it for a week now. Making a quilt this large was quite the challenge… mostly because each step took so much longer to complete than a smaller quilt and the task each time seemed so daunting. It took me a week to quilt it and several days just to bind, so it feels like quite the accomplishment!
Here’s the Stats…
Measures 100 wide x 90 long
Fabric: Kona Snow and Annette Tatum Boho
Warm n White Batting
Quilted by me on my Vintage Singer 201-2 with Aurifil white 50 wt
Houndstooth Pattern is from Tula Pink’s Book
Now for some photos!
I have some more fabric from this line to make some pillow cases and I plan to buy a white bedskirt. It will be fun to do a little mini-makeover in our bedroom now that this quilt is done!
